the study of black suede boots

14 Oct

Black suede knee-high boots with almond-shaped toes* and a 4-inch stiletto heel.  About a month ago I went to Ross to try and find a good-sized purple purse for Fall.  Thirty minutes later I hurried over to my two girlfriends weighed down with five or six pairs of shoes (including the bronze sparkly slingbacks) and exclaimed “I have got to get out of here immediately!”

Yes, I have a shoe-buying problem.  I see them, they are my size, they are on sale, I buy them.  Almost always.

*An almond-shaped toe is neither round or pointy, but a classy kind of in-between shape.

CURRENT GIVEAWAY: Don’t forget to enter to win a FREE pair of Nine West heels here!  Contest open until Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.

Okay, 1.) Where did you get those? I must have new boots this fall. and 2.) I seem to have a problem. Every time I take a shoe that has a scuffed heel, or need to be polished, to my local shoe hospital, I get told that because they aren’t real leather, they can’t do anything about it. Do you find that to be the case, my favorite shoeologist?

I found them at Ross or TJ Maxx, I don’t remember which. Most of my shoes are real leather (because apparently I hate animals and am kind of a snob), but I’ve taken some not-leather ones to my cobbler and he has fixed them no matter what. Maybe try a new shoe hospital?

I guess I’ll have to… but good to know there are those that can fix them! Thanks!

I love that it is finally boots weather. My boots have been so sad in the closet all summer!

Those are completely awesome. I don’t think you have a shoe buying problem. It is me who has the problem, in that I haven’t bought a new pair of shoes in I don’t know how long.

I have a total love affair with boots … cried when I had to toss my Colin Stuart black microfiber over the knee boots … haven’t found a pair I love that much since but the ones in this photo are AMAZING!!
