and the winner is …drumroll please…

Two weeks ago I launched TheShoeologist amidst a cloud of stiletto-based dreams and a bundle of nerves; my anxiety levels were comparable with either Christmas morning or jury duty selection.  You, my lovely readers, have been incredibly supportive of this new project leaving comments, tweets, Facebook links, and reposting on your own blogs.

For my first giveaway I had 134 entries: 110 comments, 15 tweets, and 9 blog-posts.

And the winner is Renee who said “I don’t think that I have ever owned a pair of yellow shoes, but I am LOVING these.  They would definitely be a fun, cheerful addition to my shoe wardrobe!”  Congrats Renee!

    I was convinced that I was going to win those pretty yellow heels and that they were going to get here in time for me to wear them to church next Sunday. Oh, well. Next time (especially if they are boots). Congratulations to Renee! I hope you really enjoy them! New shoes are awesome!

    Heidi, I love your For the Love of Shoes photo. Is that your front porch?

    And as much as I love my shoe collection, it is nowhere near as colorful as yours.

      It is my front porch, in fact. You should have seen the strange looks I received on Saturday from passers-by who wondered what on earth I was doing with the two-dozen pairs of shoes lined up on the steps. Classic.

        Oh, that’s funny. I probably would have pretended it was for a classroom assignment.

        I’m curious how you toted all those shoes out there. I can’t picture you tossing two dozen pairs of shoes casually into a laundry basket where they might get scuffed. Did you cart them out in their shoe boxes?
