Most of my shoes are real leather (because apparently I hate animals and am kind of a snob), but I've taken some not-leather ones to my cobbler and he has fixed them no matter what. Every time I take a shoe that has a scuffed heel, or need to be polished, to my local shoe hospital, I get told that because they aren't real leather, they can't do anything about it.
